Massachusetts enjoys a 2nd place ranking with an average salary of $61,000, which is 20 percent higher than the national average. The state should see a moderate growth of 9 percent, bringing its 4,980 laboratory technologists in 2016 up to 5,410 by 2026.

Oregon Histotechnologists Jobs
Histotechnologist salaries by state ends with Oregon, which ranked the lowest at 20th in the nation. Average salaries for histotechnologists in Oregon were $49,000, which was 3 percent less than the national average. Expected job growth is also lower than the national average, but at 11 percent, the 2,240 medical laboratory technologists are expected to increase to 2,480 by 2026.
