SNELLVILLE, GA. NICU experience, high risk delivery experience, knowledgeable in surfactant delivery! Intubations, arterial sticks, surfactant delivery. 2+ years of experience and 50 mile radius rule. 310 Bed facility. Documentation system: Meditech/CPN. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP. NICU therapists in our Level III NICU enjoy a great deal of autonomy and are greatly appreciated for their contributions. Our Labor and Delivery and NICU rely heavily on our skill sets. The city of Snellville, located 18 miles east of Atlanta, got its start in 1874 when two young brothers made a secret voyage to the New World. Eventually the brothers settled in the small farming community of New London, Georgia, now called Snellville. Today, the town has the reputation as one of the fastest growing cities in the state, with plenty of attractions the whole family can enjoy. New London Theatre The New London Theatre (newlondontheatre.org) puts on half dozen or more plays, musicals and children's shows in a theater space in downtown Snellville. Part of the theater's philosophy is to include the audience as the cast prepares for their roles, with the theater inviting the public to go to museums or other locations as part of the research process. The theater also puts on a theater summer camp for children ages 9 to 17 with 20 spots available for each weeklong day camp. Tickets for shows are available at the box office. AMF Snellville Lanes For a good old-fashioned game of bowling, head to the AMF Snellville Lanes (amf.com). Open all day long and into the wee hours of the morning, the bowling alley offers individual rates as well as special rates for clubs and leagues. For a snack, enjoy popcorn, sodas, pizza, burgers and appetizers served at the Laneside Grill. The bowling alley caters to parties, corporate get-togethers and special events, whether for adults or kids, by planning activities and food for the whole group. Snellville Days Each May, The Snellville Days Festival offers two days of activities for the whole family. The festival begins with a parade of floats decorated by the town's schools, churches and businesses. On Saturday night, the festival includes an evening concert with big-name acts providing entertainment. A dog and Frisbee competition is also held on Saturday, giving pets and their owners a chance to join in on the fun. A car show, hosted by area car show enthusiasts, also takes place on Saturday. The festival includes about 200 vendors offering handcrafted arts and crafts, as well as food and beverages, children's activities and plenty of clowns to entertain you on the street. Stone Mountain Park The 3,200-acre Stone Mountain Park (stonemountainpark.com) about six miles from Snellville offers adventure and fun for everyone, including a gigantic sculpture of three Confederate Civil War heroes carved out of the mountainside 400 feet above the ground. Activities include rides on a Swiss cable car that takes you to the top of Stone Mountain for panoramic views of the Atlanta skyline. Once you finish admiring the view, take the Sky Hike, an adventure course that takes you through the treetops. Head to the Antebellum Plantation to see original buildings from 1783 to 1875, then take a ride on a locomotive from the 1940s that takes you on a five-mile ride around the mountain.
