Today, the town has the reputation as one of the fastest growing cities in the state, with plenty of attractions the whole family can enjoy.
New London Theatre
The New London Theatre (newlondontheatre.org) puts on half dozen or more plays, musicals and children's shows in a theater space in downtown Snellville. Part of the theater's philosophy is to include the audience as the cast prepares for their roles, with the theater inviting the public to go to museums or other locations as part of the research process. The theater also puts on a theater summer camp for children ages 9 to 17 with 20 spots available for each weeklong day camp. Tickets for shows are available at the box office.

Each May, The Snellville Days Festival offers two days of activities for the whole family. The festival begins with a parade of floats decorated by the town's schools, churches and businesses. On Saturday night, the festival includes an evening concert with big-name acts providing entertainment. A dog and Frisbee competition is also held on Saturday, giving pets and their owners a chance to join in on the fun. A car show, hosted by area car show enthusiasts, also takes place on Saturday. The festival includes about 200 vendors offering handcrafted arts and crafts, as well as food and beverages, children's activities and plenty of clowns to entertain you on the street.

Once you finish admiring the view, take the Sky Hike, an adventure course that takes you through the treetops. Head to the Antebellum Plantation to see original buildings from 1783 to 1875, then take a ride on a locomotive from the 1940s that takes you on a five-mile ride around the mountain.
