Computed Tomography Technologist
This is a truly unique opportunity to see Alaska. Norton Sound Health Corporation is looking for a CT/ x-ray technologist for 13 weeks. This position is located in Nome which is a totally remote, rural community in NW Alaska. Nome is famous for many things including being the end of the Iditarod dog sled race, gold mining, the aurora borealis (northern lights in winter), fishing, and Alaska Native culture. The ideal candidate should be laid back with a sense of adventure. The shift will be from 9am-5:30pm or 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday. A change in shifts could result in case of an emergency (COVID related, etc). Additionally, the technologist will be required to take call on a rotating schedule with other technologists. This position will be included in on-call rotation. The technologist must be able to perform general diagnostic radiography and CT and mammography and be ARRT registered. Mammo unit is Hologic Dimensions with 3D/tomo. CT machine is a GE Optima 660 and our x-ray machine is a GE Proteus (DR). X-ray unit is GE proteus. EMR IS CERNER.
