Speech & Language Pathologist - Rehab
The Speech Language Pathologist II is responsible for safe and appropriate direct and indirect patient care for patients of all complexity levels. The clinician actively participates in administrative activities and may act as a site administrator in absence of the Manager. The clinician provides instruction, direction and supervision subordinate staff, serving as a resource for all departments. Consults with medical and professional staff of other departments to plan and coordinate joint patient care and management objectives. Maintains expertise in Speech Pathology profession, acts as resource to others. Will orient and precept new staff and assess competencies as needed. Will provide patient care in multiple sites as needed.
Teaches, instructs patients and families on healthcare subjects, provides explanation. May make recommendations to physicians or other staff based on patient care principles to assure optimum patient care. Will select appropriate health supplies, medical equipment to assure appropriate medical care. Will provide care to patients at multiple sites.
· Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
· Minimum 1-2 years supervised clinical experience
· Completion of and maintains competency requirements for Clinical Level II
