Job Description & Requirements

Registered Respiratory Therapist

HONOLULU, HI. Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field preferred. Current Hawaii State license as a Respiratory Therapist. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). Current CPR certification at the Health Care Professional (BLS) level and Advanced Cardiopulmonary Life Support (ACLS). Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification may be preferred depending on area of assignment. Prior clinical experience in a critical care setting. PARKING: Punchbowl campus: Parking is not approved for on the Punchbowl campus. If the traveler elects to park on campus at Punchbowl, it will be at their expense. Parking on campus can run up to $50/day. Traveler can elect to park at the Neal Blaisdell Center at a cost of $7/day. If wearing their Queen's-issued badge, they can catch the Employee Shuttle to/from Queen's/Blaisdell. PARKING: West O'ahu campus: Parking is $15/month. The traveler will arrange parking via the West O'ahu HR department. Time-Off Request during contract term is not allowed. PARKING: Punchbowl campus: Parking is not approved for on the Punchbowl campus. If the traveler elects to park on campus at Punchbowl, it will be at their expense. Parking on campus can run up to $50/day. Traveler can elect to park at the Neal Blaisdell Center at a cost of $7/day. Required Qualifications

All traveler compliance requirements must be completed 10 business days prior to the start date in Medefis. This means that travelers must be cleared 5 business days before starting quarantine. There will be no exceptions, and travelers who do not meet this timeline will be pushed to a later start date and run the risk of being cancelled. Effective 11/6: Queen’s 14 day quarantine requirement for incoming travelers is being replaced by a COVID test requirement, conducted 72 hours prior to travel, aligning with the state’s new quarantine exemption option. Tests must be completed through a trusted partner, but CANNOT be a saliva-based test. The traveler will also need to register with the state and apply for the state exemption.
