Certified Radiology Technologist
Promotes positive and effective working relationships among Center staff. Assumes responsibility for patient, physician and staff satisfaction as it pertains to the clinical areas. Responds appropriately to physician, patient and visitor complaints and communicates this information to the Director of Nursing in a timely manner. Graduate of an approved or accredited School of Radiology Technology. High School graduate or GED certificate recipient. Current Virginia radiologic license as a Radiographer. Current BCLS certification. Radiology Technician experience of at least two (2) years. Ambulatory healthcare experience preferred. C-arm and portable x-ray equipment experience required
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Additional languages preferred. Proficient in the use of computers; ability to multitask, problem solve, meet deadlines, adapt to changing priorities and situations and demonstrate excellent organizational skills. Knowledge of state-specific and federal healthcare regulations and standards as these pertain to the use of radiographic equipment within an Ambulatory Surgery Center. Maintains familiarity with a variety of radiographic equipment along with trouble-shooting skills that are performed in accordance with manufacturer's instructions for use. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Must be detail oriented and organized. High integrity, including maintenance of confidential information. Must be able to exercise good judgement and positively influence others, including handling confrontations with poise and efficiency.
