Cardiovascular Interventional Technologist
3+ years of experience. Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab experience. Operates radiographic equipment to obtain ordered radiographs consistent with department routines and procedures. In doing so, positions patients, adjusts equipment for proper exposure settings and processes images following the procedure and facilitates image storage in the PACS system. Assisting Interventional Radiologists to perform interventional examinations by administering/providing contrast media and assisting/scrubbing in with procedures as needed. Cath Lab and/or Interventional Radiologic experience required. Experience in Special Procedure Techniques preferred. Experience with Siemens Artis Q System preferred. Ability to work and assist with a variety of guide wires and devices in the Interventional Radiology workflow. Graduate of a recognized approved American Medical Association Council of Education program in Radiological Technology, certification by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) Current Montana license as a Radiology Technologist. The technologist must be current in Radiographic equipment used in the Interventional Radiology department. Furthermore, the technologist must be able to help move and position patients as appropriate for exams. The candidate should have strong communication skills with patients and providers.
