VHA Signs New Agreement with Club Staffing, Inc. to Provide Healthcare Staffing

Boca Raton, Florida – November 1, 2005 – Club Staffing, Inc. announced today that it has signed a new agreement with VHA Inc., a national alliance of 2,400 not-for-profit healthcare organizations. The agreement runs through December 2008. Club Staffing is one of two suppliers VHA selected to provide allied healthcare staffing services to VHA members.

Thorne Barbour, manager of recruitment, compensation, and employment for VHA member Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tenn., turned to Club Staffing when the hospital began a $145 million expansion—an expansion that presented a staffing challenge in specialized departments such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, and radiology. “We were looking for a very particular group of people,” said Barbour. “That, combined with a national shortage in medical staff, led us to seek medical help for our staffing needs. We continued to use Club Staffing [even after the expansion was completed] because the caliber of candidates they provided was outstanding. The ability to work one-on-one with a consultant was invaluable.”

Under the terms of the agreement, Club Staffing will provide VHA member facilities with short- and long-term allied healthcare staffing services. Members can enlist the help of a Club Staffing consultant to find diagnostic imaging professionals, rehab therapists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, surgical and lab technicians, and other allied healthcare professionals.

Club Staffing services include recruiting, screening, interviewing, processing of taxes and benefits, as well as licensing, travel, housing, and relocation assistance for travelers.
